By marrying a big nonstick electric griddle to a big nonstick covered skillet, this countertop cooking combination offers big versatility to families, college students, and small households with limited kitchen space. Sautéing, frying, stir-frying, deep-frying, simmering, and braising are all within the griddle-and-skillet's reach. At 11-1/2 inches square, the griddle accommodates plenty of pancakes, burgers, and steaks; at 12-1/2 inches square and 2-1/2 inches deep, the skillet holds up to 4 quarts of chili, stew, or soup. (A recipe booklet is included to offer ideas.) Because the skillet heats on top of the griddle, the griddle's temperature control is calibrated for both griddle and skillet.
